harriet head | SMALL BUSINESS mentor | the fresh eye
Once we IDENTIFY THE SOLUTION, THINGS shift…
-
The nattering, anxiety and chaos ease
-
You can plan the next step with confidence
-
Business starts to feel lighter & more aligned.
I didn’t set out to be a mentor…
The business grew naturally from the steady stream of people who’d say, “Can I just ask bounce something off you?” or “I know you’ll help me make sense of this.”
Over time, I’ve realised they weren’t coming for advice. They were coming for clarity, for someone who could listen, see through the confusion and pinpoint the problem they couldn’t quite get to grips with.
I don’t purport to be a “Qualified” coach but I do have a rich wealth of experience and knowledge after 15 years in a corporate world and over 20 years on the self employment roller coaster.
I’m also a wife, mother, daughter, sister and life juggler!
It’s my third career pivot…
The first, a leap from corporate into self-employment with a newborn. The second, from creative to tech, alongside the upheaval of Covid. The most recent unfolded in the mayhem of perimenopause, with the unexpected bonus of a late ADHD diagnosis.
Each chapter brought its own strain, but also clarity.
Reinvention became less about starting again and more about choosing what matters and creating alignment.
- A degree & post-grad in Business Administration learning the basics
- Retail with experience of Merchandising & Sales
- A Corporate life in Business Systems wrangling systems, processes, procedures, data flow, KPI reporting etc.
- Founder & designer of award winning “By Harriet” millinery and bridal accessories, learning the business side of stuff alongside the creating.
- A website designer, consultant & teacher for over sixty female founders (and some men too).
In hindsight, looking back at that zigzag journey, the ADHD shouldn’t have been a surprise! It explains far more than it has disrupted.
Different worlds, different pressures and yet I saw the same patterns repeated.
People didn’t just need a deliverable, but someone who could read between the lines to hear what they really needed, not just what they said or thought they did.
That’s where I come in to my own…
My approach is simple.
We talk….
I listen, ask questions & challenge you if needed…
Together, we’ll draw out the insight you’ve been seeking.
While I can help you navigate a major pivot, the thing you bring doesn’t have to be dramatic.
Sometimes it’s simply a knot in your offer suite, a process that keeps snagging, messaging that doesn’t feel like you, copy that doesn’t quite land, or a sense that something in your business is clunkier than it should be.
